In 1928, four Chryslers numbered 5, 6, 7 and 8 ran in the LeMans and came in 3rd and 4th. They went up against the race favorites including 3, 4.5 liter Bentley's. The race finished with Bentley 1st, Stutz 2nd and Chrysler 3rd and 4th.
